Backup Card

YURI NO1 uses a local-first approach for reading progress and personalized settings. YURI NO1 does not store your reading data on its servers. Your personalized reading progress and settings remain under your own control and are stored locally on your device and browser.

Because this data is stored locally, reading progress cannot be automatically shared between different devices or browsers. If you switch devices or browsers, you may need to use a Backup Card to transfer your saved data.

This Backup Card feature applies to Codex reading data and preferences only. It does not include data or settings from the YURI1 Music website.

Saving a Backup Card

On the Codex page, click the Save icon in the upper-left corner to save your current reading data.

The Backup Card will be downloaded as a single PNG image file. Please keep this PNG file in a safe place.

Do not edit, modify, resize, crop, compress, or otherwise alter the Backup Card image. Any modification to the image file may cause the Backup Card to become invalid and prevent it from being restored successfully.

Restoring a Backup Card

On the Codex page, click the Restore icon next to the Save icon. You can then select a previously downloaded Backup Card PNG file to restore your saved data.

Please note that restoring a Backup Card will overwrite your current saved state. This action cannot be undone. Before restoring, please make sure that you no longer need the current state, or create a new Backup Card first if you wish to preserve it.

Settings Added After a Backup Card Was Created

If new website features or settings are introduced after a Backup Card was created, those settings will not be included in the older Backup Card. When restored, newly added settings will use their default values.

Choosing a Backup Card Cover

You can choose your preferred illustration as the cover of your Backup Card.

On an illustration within an article, click the diamond icon in the lower-left corner. The diamond icon will turn pink to indicate that the illustration has been selected as the Backup Card cover.

If no cover illustration has been selected, the website's latest available illustration will be used as the default Backup Card cover.

Currently Saved Data

The Backup Card currently preserves the following information:

(1) The selected cover style in Codex Cover View.

(2) FAVORITE, READ DONE, and HIDDEN POST statuses.

(3) Reading progress within individual articles.

(4) Reading preferences, such as Dark Mode and font settings.

(5) The selected Backup Card cover illustration.

YURI NO1 aims to provide a convenient and reliable reading experience. However, website features and local data systems may be affected by browser behavior, device changes, software updates, or other unexpected circumstances. YURI NO1 recommends keeping an up-to-date Backup Card if your reading progress is important to you.

Backup Cards are designed as a personal, user-managed method of preserving and transferring local reading data. Please keep your Backup Card files secure and do not share them publicly, as they may contain your personalized reading information.
