YURI NO1 (referred to below as “YURI1”) welcomes users to create non-commercial fan content based on its characters, fictional world, works, and other publicly available content.
These guidelines describe the general scope of permission granted by YURI1 for fan content, as well as content and uses that are not included within that permission.
Fan Content at a Glance
YURI1 welcomes users to create fan content based on its characters, works, and fictional world.
However, YURI1’s characters, fictional world, and related creative elements remain the intellectual property of YURI1 or their respective rights holders. Permission to create fan content does not transfer ownership of YURI1 characters or other related intellectual property to the creator, nor does it grant unrestricted rights to modify, redefine, or use such elements.
The main principles of the YURI1 Fan Content Guidelines are as follows:

✔️ Stylized or Sexy Character Art
Generally permitted.
Sexy character designs or visual presentation do not automatically constitute NSFW or other restricted adult content.
✔️ Relationships Between YURI1 Characters
Generally permitted, including friendship, emotional relationships, and character pairings between YURI1 characters.
✖️ Content Above the 16+ Limit
Not permitted under the general fan content policy, including explicit sexual content, pornography, or other content exceeding a 16+ level.
Content does not need to be explicitly sexual to exceed the 16+ limit. Other content may also fall outside the permitted scope depending on its subject matter, presentation, intensity, or applicable content-rating standards.

Not included within the general fan content permission.
✖️ Relationships Between YURI1 Characters and Characters from Other IPs or Works
Not included within the general fan content permission.
✖️ Incorporating YURI1 Characters into External Worlds or Settings

✖️ Content Significantly Inconsistent with Official Character Settings or the Nature of YURI1
YURI1 may withdraw permission for the continued use of its characters or other intellectual property in such content and may request that the relevant content be modified, removed, or no longer publicly distributed.
Fan Content Age Limit
Regardless of the current content rating or classification system applied to YURI1 or its works, fan content created under these guidelines is limited to a maximum of 16+.
The content rating or classification of YURI1 works does not expand, extend, or otherwise alter the permitted scope of fan content under these guidelines.
Content exceeding the 16+ limit is not included within the general fan content permission and requires separate, explicit authorization from YURI1.
1. General Fan Content
Provided that these guidelines and applicable laws are followed, users may generally create non-commercial fan content, including but not limited to:
- Fan illustrations;
- Fan fiction;
- Comics;
- Memes;
- Character-based creations;
- Non-commercial videos;
- Reviews, commentary, and introductions;
- Other non-commercial creative works based on YURI1.
Unless otherwise expressly stated by YURI1, individual prior permission is not required for ordinary non-commercial fan content that falls within the scope of these guidelines.
2. Content Above the 16+ Limit
The general fan content permission does not include content exceeding the 16+ limit.
Users may not use YURI1 characters, character designs, names, fictional world, or other identifiable YURI1 elements to create, publicly publish, distribute, or commercially use content that exceeds this limit without separate, explicit authorization from YURI1.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Explicit nudity or sexualized exposure beyond the 16+ scope;
- Explicit sexual acts or sexual intercourse;
- Pornographic or otherwise explicitly adult-oriented works featuring YURI1 characters;
- Character pairings or adaptations primarily centered on explicit sexual activity or adult content;
- Other fan content that clearly exceeds the 16+ scope.
Non-commercial status does not by itself grant permission for such content.
3. Distinction Between Sexy Content and Restricted Content
These guidelines do not prohibit ordinary sexy or suggestive character portrayals that remain within the 16+ scope.
YURI1 may include character designs, swimwear, fitted clothing, body curves, suggestive poses, mild romantic or emotional implications, or other forms of mature aesthetic presentation.
The presence of sexy elements alone does not automatically make a work restricted or outside the permitted scope of fan content.
The primary restriction concerns content that is explicit, clearly adult-oriented, or otherwise exceeds the 16+ limit.
Actual classification may depend on the overall content and presentation of the work, as well as applicable platform rules and laws.
4. Character Relationships and Creative Restrictions
Users may freely create non-commercial stories involving YURI1 characters, including interactions, friendships, emotional relationships, and other forms of character-based storytelling within the scope of these guidelines.
Fan content may depict pairings, friendships, or emotional relationships between YURI1 characters.
YURI1’s characters are primarily created within a setting that explores various emotional relationships between female characters. Without explicit authorization from YURI1, users may not establish romantic, sexual, or other intimate relationships between YURI1 characters and characters of another gender.
Without explicit authorization from YURI1, users may not establish pairings, intimate relationships, or other character relationships between YURI1 characters and characters outside YURI1 as part of fan-created works.
“Characters outside YURI1” includes, but is not limited to, characters from other copyrighted works, other IPs, original characters (OCs) created by users, characters without an asserted copyright claim, and other third-party characters.
The general fan content permission also does not include incorporating YURI1 characters into external fictional worlds, stories, or settings without explicit authorization.
Creating such a character independently, making it original, using it non-commercially, or claiming that it has no copyright protection does not by itself grant permission to incorporate a YURI1 character into that character’s world, story, setting, or relationship structure.
Unauthorized content must not be presented or implied as official YURI1 material, an official collaboration, part of the official fictional world, or a relationship recognized by YURI1.
5. Creative Content and Legal Responsibility
Users creating YURI1 fan content are responsible for complying with applicable laws, regulations, and platform rules.
Users must not create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, violates applicable public-order or legal standards, or otherwise creates legal liability.
Permission to create fan content does not mean that YURI1 endorses, supports, authorizes, or participates in any particular fan-created work.
The creator is solely responsible for the creation, publication, distribution, monetization, and other use of their fan content.
If fan content results in legal liability, third-party rights disputes, platform enforcement, or other adverse consequences, the creator remains responsible for those consequences. Granting fan content permission does not make YURI1 a participant in or automatically responsible for such activities.
Users may not rely on the terms “fan work,” “non-commercial,” or “permitted fan content” as a basis for claiming that YURI1 has authorized any other unlawful activity.
6. Commercial Fan Content
Unless otherwise permitted by law or separately authorized by YURI1, commercial use of YURI1 characters, names, logos, works, or other protected elements requires prior authorization from YURI1.
Commercial use includes, but is not limited to:
- Merchandise and products;
- Commercial publishing;
- Paid digital content;
- Commercial advertising;
- Brand collaborations;
- Games and applications;
- Paid video or other media content;
- Other profit-generating activities primarily based on YURI1 content.
Permission for ordinary non-commercial fan content does not constitute commercial authorization.
7. Distinction Between Official and Unofficial Content
Fan creators must not present their works in a manner that could reasonably cause users to believe that the work is an official YURI1 work or that the creator has received official authorization, cooperation, or endorsement from YURI1.
When creating fan content using YURI1 characters or related elements, creators are encouraged to clearly identify their work as:

or use other wording sufficient to indicate that the work is not official.
Without explicit permission from YURI1, users must not claim or imply an official identity, official status, or affiliation with YURI1 or its official representatives.
8. Fan Content Rights and Official Use
Copyright in the original portions of a fan-created work generally remains with the creator or other lawful rights holder.
However, YURI1 characters, character names, character designs, fictional world, stories, logos, and other pre-existing intellectual property do not become the property of the fan creator through the creation of derivative content.
Creating fan content does not transfer or grant ownership of YURI1 characters or other YURI1 intellectual property to the creator.
If a user voluntarily publishes fan content on a social platform or submits it to YURI1 through an official submission method, the user acknowledges that YURI1 may wish to display qualifying fan content through official social media, the Website, promotional materials, or related activities.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, merely publishing or submitting fan content does not automatically transfer ownership of the fan-created work to YURI1.
If YURI1 wishes to use a particular fan work on its official website, social media, promotional materials, videos, merchandise, or other official purposes, YURI1 will, where appropriate, obtain the necessary permission from the creator or use the work according to the applicable submission terms.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, official use of fan content does not mean that YURI1 obtains ownership of the fan-created work.
Creators who are willing to grant YURI1 permission to use their fan content for official purposes are encouraged to provide a reliable means of contact through which official representatives may reach them.
9. Official Review and Withdrawal of Fan Content Permission
YURI1 reserves the right to manage permission for fan content involving YURI1 characters, fictional world, names, logos, and other related intellectual property.
Even if a fan work complied with these guidelines when created or published, YURI1 may determine that continued public use of YURI1 elements is inappropriate based on the content of the work, character portrayal, the overall positioning of YURI1, community circumstances, platform rules, legal requirements, or other reasonable considerations.
In such circumstances, YURI1 may request that the creator modify the content, stop publicly distributing the work, or remove the relevant YURI1 elements.
YURI1 also reserves the right to withdraw permission for specific fan content.
Withdrawal of fan content permission means withdrawal of permission to use YURI1-related characters, names, settings, designs, or other protected elements. It does not automatically transfer ownership of the creator’s original contributions to YURI1.
After receiving reasonable notice from YURI1, the creator should cease the relevant use or otherwise comply with the request within a reasonable period.
YURI1 will generally attempt to contact the relevant creator through reasonable means and explain the issue and requested action.
If YURI1 cannot reasonably contact the creator, receives no response within a reasonable period, or determines that the creator has refused to address content that continues to constitute unauthorized use of YURI1 elements, YURI1 may, in accordance with applicable laws and platform procedures, submit copyright or other appropriate rights claims to the platform where the work is published and request appropriate action, restriction, or removal.
Such measures may include submitting formal complaints, infringement notices, or removal requests through X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or other platforms that provide relevant rights-protection mechanisms.
YURI1 may assert appropriate rights and remedies based on the circumstances of each case and applicable law regarding unauthorized use, misappropriation, impersonation, misleading use, or other infringement of YURI1 or related rights.
10. Special Permission
If a creator has a legitimate need for purposes such as publication, research, artistic creation, commercial cooperation, or another special purpose to create content outside the scope permitted by these guidelines, the creator should contact YURI1 and request permission before publicly publishing, distributing, or commercially using such content.
Unless YURI1 has provided explicit prior authorization, creators must not assume that such permission has been granted.
YURI1 may determine whether to grant permission based on the individual work, characters involved, intended use, publication platform, and other relevant circumstances.
11. Changes to These Guidelines
YURI1 may modify these Fan Content Guidelines in response to changes in its works, community environment, platform policies, applicable laws, or other operational needs.
Updated versions will be published on the Website, and the published version will govern from its stated effective date.
12. Content Rating and Local Standards
YURI1 uses its own 16+ content standard, informed by content-rating practices in Taiwan. This is an internal content guideline and does not represent an official Taiwanese age classification.
Content-rating standards and legal requirements may differ between countries, regions, and media formats. Fan creators should consider the applicable laws, platform policies, and content-rating standards of their own location.
Where applicable laws or platform rules impose stricter requirements, those requirements shall take precedence.
